Your questions, answered

About the service

What is ReConnect by Days of Confidence?

ReConnect is our menopause care service: specialist doctors who listen, and an app that keeps your care team in your pocket between appointments. You see the same doctor every time, get clear answers and go at your own pace, so you can feel like yourself again.

Can I see a menopause specialist doctor online?

Yes. All appointments are by video, from home. You’ll see a doctor registered in France and trained in menopause, who will have read your questionnaire and test results beforehand. Your prescription is sent to you digitally, and you can take it to your usual pharmacy.

Our doctors currently see patients in France and Spain.

Are your doctors registered?

Yes. Every doctor who sees patients in France is registered and licensed to practise there. We choose them on three things: a recognised specialty, active clinical practice and accredited menopause training.

How does ReConnect care work?

ReConnect runs for 3 months (Flow) or 12 months (Harmony). You always see the same doctor, who reads your history before each appointment. In between, you log your symptoms in the app, ask your care coordinator anything, and your health coach helps with sleep, food and exercise. At your next appointment, your doctor can see what’s changed. Full details are on the ReConnect page.

Which doctor should you see for menopause?

In France, several specialties treat perimenopause and menopause: medical gynaecology, general practice and endocrinology. Specific menopause training matters just as much as the specialty: a university diploma in endocrine gynaecology, GEMVi membership, regular practice in the field. At Days of Confidence, our doctors see patients for menopause care only.

Can I book a consultation if I don't live in a big city?

Yes. Every appointment is online: all you need is an internet connection and a quiet space. That’s the whole point: seeing a menopause-trained doctor no longer depends on where you live.

Treatment and prescriptions

Can your doctors prescribe MHT?

Yes, if it’s medically appropriate and you want it. Your doctor decides after a full review of your medical history, never from a questionnaire alone. If HRT isn’t right for you, or you’d rather not take it, your doctor will suggest a non-hormonal approach.

Does MHT carry risks?

Like any treatment, HRT has benefits and risks, and they depend on you: your medical history, your age, and where you are in menopause. Your doctor goes through them with you, based on current guidelines, and reviews your treatment at every appointment.

What if I can't, or don't want to, take hormones?

That’s absolutely fine. Many women can’t take hormones, and others would rather not. Your doctor can prescribe evidence-based non-hormonal treatments, and with ReConnect, your health coach also helps with sleep, food and exercise.

Are my prescriptions valid at the pharmacy?

Yes. Your prescription is sent electronically, and you take it to your usual pharmacy like any other. With ReConnect, it’s also saved in your app, along with your appointment reports.

Do I need blood tests before the consultation?

No, you don’t need them to get started, whether you book a one-off appointment or join ReConnect. If you have recent results, share them: your doctor will read them beforehand, which makes the appointment more useful. If you need new tests, she’ll order them.

Costs, insurance and your data

How much does it cost?

There are three options. A one-off appointment, no commitment: €150 for the first and €90 for a follow-up. ReConnect Flow: €90 for 3 months, paid once. ReConnect Harmony: €300 for 12 months (two months free), paid in full or in three instalments. On Flow and Harmony, appointments cost €110 for the first and €80 for follow-ups; your doctor bills them separately from your plan. Medicines, supplements and tests aren’t included.

Is the consultation reimbursed?

Our appointments are private, so they aren’t covered by the French state health system. Some private health insurance policies contribute to this kind of care, so it’s worth checking yours. The ReConnect plan isn’t reimbursed. Medicines your doctor prescribes are reimbursed in the usual way.

Does Days of Confidence replace my GP?

No. We work alongside your GP, on one specific area: perimenopause and menopause. Your GP is still your main contact for everything else. After each appointment, you get a report you can share with them.

Is my health data protected?

Yes. Your data is stored with an HDS-certified host (the French standard for health data), as French law requires. Your reports and prescriptions are yours: you can download them at any time, during your care and after, and ask us to delete them.

What happens after my three months?

It's up to you. (Peri)menopause isn't a fixed stage: it often lasts several years, and your body keeps changing. Some symptoms settle, others appear, and a treatment that suits you today may need adjusting tomorrow. At the end of ReConnect Flow, your doctor reviews everything with you at your follow-up appointment. So that your treatment keeps evolving with you, with the same doctor and the same team, you can move on to ReConnect Harmony. You can also stop: your treatment remains valid as set out in your prescription, your documents can still be downloaded and you can book a one-off appointment at any time.

Do your food supplements replace treatment?

No. Our supplements are designed for perimenopause and menopause and support your medical care; they never replace it. Your doctor will recommend them if they’ll help, and they’re bought separately. On ReConnect Harmony, you get a free three-month supply.

Understanding perimenopause

How do I know if I'm in perimenopause?

Perimenopause usually starts in your 40s. The main sign is a change in your cycle (shorter, longer or irregular), often alongside symptoms like poor sleep, mood changes, low energy, memory lapses and hot flushes. After 45, it’s diagnosed from your symptoms and cycle, not a blood test. Our symptom quiz can help you take stock, but only a doctor can tell you for sure.

What's the difference between perimenopause and menopause?

Perimenopause is the transition before your periods stop: cycles become irregular and symptoms appear, sometimes years in advance. Menopause is when you haven’t had a period for 12 months in a row. The average age of menopause is around 51.

I'm still having periods, can I start ReConnect?

Yes. Perimenopause starts years before your periods stop, and it’s often when women are listened to least. It’s also when medical support can make the biggest difference, because symptoms start long before anyone mentions the word ‘menopause’.
