Fatigue

Fatigue

There's being tired… and then there's extreme fatigue — that feeling of not having enough energy to even say you're exhausted.

For many women, fatigue in menopause goes far beyond the tiredness from sleepless nights at university, motherhood, or work stress.

Is it normal?

Yes. Most women in peri- and menopause complain of fatigue. Insomnia, night sweats, midnight trips to the bathroom, and hormonal changes are the main culprits.

95% of women in menopause experience difficulty sleeping.

What can you do?

  • Maintain a sleep routine and avoid screens before bed.
  • Sleep in a cool, dark environment with breathable sheets.
  • Limit caffeine and alcohol — they affect sleep quality.
  • Manage stress with meditation, yoga, or deep breathing.
  • Eat a light dinner rich in tryptophan (turkey, banana, nuts) to support
    rest.
  • Address night sweats — hormonal balance helps.
